For those of you who don’t know, Dan, the person who scammed me out of $400 recently, and thinks I’M the fraudster, is a moderator at a forum called FreeWebSpace, which he thinks he rules, using his powers for pure evil, providing unfair banning, and unfair warnings.

PLEASE help us get him removed, this has gone on long enough, how many more people have to suffer because of him.

I just wanted to set a few things straight here. Looking at Dan Riordan’s recent blog post about a project I’m not even carrying on due to him, I thought I would give my side of the story in response to the comments I have got on that post.

1. I did not ask him to design it

Thats 100% ture - About the only thing Dan Riordan has told the truth about, but Dan jumped at the chance, considering the fact that we all know his “Joomla!” template suck ass, I mean come on, just look at his current one for his Host DeiseHost (Link) anything with a template like that was not going to be noticed.

One thing I should point out about this - is me and Dan were partners, 50% each, I put more funds up for start up, as well as put more hours getting the software ready, etc. Whereas he provided the idea and the domain. A sweet domain at that. Still, its not got the best of rep now.

2. He did not design it. It was designed by a guy called Keagle

Wow. I have to admit - We are on a Roll now. This is the SECOND thing that’s true to come out of Dan Riordan’s mouth - This is VERY unlike him. Yes, that’s also totally true. The PSD was designed by Keagle, who has requested I leave his real name out of this, but I’m sure some of you know him. It was then coded by myself into a webpage. Keagle was working for me at the time, and was paid for the work he carried out on the PSD, I never said “I created” it, I said “We” created it, as a team, which is true, considering I coded the whole thing into HTML/PHP, as well as carried out some minor photoshop adjustments.

3. I took it down to get him off my case

Ahhh, thats more like it. A lie. Back to the old Dan. You sure don’t disappoint.

Well, as I’m sure you have guessed, thats not the truth at all, in actual fact, he took the template down and replaced it with a crappy template because I request it of him, as he refused to pay me a small fee for the work carried out on the design (The costs I incurred in the development).

The reason I done this, is because Dan cut me out of our Partnership, due to some personal issues I was having at the time with money and work. He was short and to the point, and blunt about the money I had put into the company and would not get back.

Until the company made a profit, me and Dan went halves on the servers, but Dan had a few PayPal issues, and was unable to make payments on time, I therefore had to make the payments for him, his money still covered next month - so for that month, I needed to send nothing, but I worked out that I had put over $400 into CompleteVPS that had not been returned to me…

Now I’m sorry Dan, but how can you justify that? if you go into partnership with someone, and want to cut them out, you buy them out, not cut them out with a knife, thats illegal, I lost money due to you, therefore, you used me to help your self start the business up, and therefore, you are a fraudster. Full stop. Plain and simple, fraudster.

Yes. You guessed it. I’m talking about Dan Riordan. His recent blog post about me, was rather harsh, and uncalled for, considering the fact that he was fucking me over.

I started CompleteVPS with this other guy, whom recently I got rid of because he was never there to help with support etc, and now he wants 400 bucks from me or 200 along with the website taken down. The give on the website is this. Before we opened, I made a comment about getting the website designed. He goes something like “Oh I can do that. I will start work on it now.” So, he does design it and it’s the one that’s on there now. Today he gave me 7 days to delete the site and transfer the website design files over to him so he can sell it. I didn’t ask him to design the fucking thing. But yeah. I’ll give him his fucking design. Dick Head!

Just so you know he did actually post that, and he does not accuse me of making it up (I know he would, he’s like that), here is a screenshot of the post on his website

In that blog post, he actually has the cheek to call ME an idiot, and get pissed off with the fact that I told him to remove a design I paid for. Well, I won’t go into too many details, but let’s just say, I’m not the idiot, and if he thinks I am, he is mistaken.

I started CompleteVPS with Dan, awhile ago. First of all, I thought it was funny he knew jack shit about VPS’s and Linux in general, but after a time, it started to get annoying, as he would not know how the do the most simplest of tasks, like update the time on one of his nodes.

When I started, me and Dan came to the arrangement of 50% costs. So there it was - The first month, went smooth, we got our first few clients, and after that, it went downhill.

Dan, started taking me for a ride. He could not get any funds into paypal to pay for the server, and needed to send a money order, okay I thought, fine, but he soon let me know he would not be able to send any money at all for the next 3-4 weeks :S Therefore, I had to cover the costs of the servers - ALL of it. Until next month, when he would cover them because he already sent 1/2 of the month before.

Well, I was fine with this to start with, but it started getting annoying. But I continued.

After a few months, and after CompleteVPS started to make a profit, my life took an unfortunate turn for the worst, and I had to leave the Internet World for 6 weeks to work, unfortunately, Dan was away the weekend I had to leave, and it was a last minute thing (my job was back then). I’m sure you can see my amazement to find an email from Dan when I returned:

Hey Richard,

I will cut through the bullshit.
I don’t think our partnership with CWW is working out. It’s simply because of your busy schedule. I know, ya gotta work. It’s all good.
I will be removing you from the system now and changing all passwords.

Now, hold on. How would YOU have taken that? Fine, I had to work, I was a little unreliable during that 6 weeks, considering I was only able to get onto the internet once or twice. But still. I’ve just put 3-4 months of hard work, and $400 unrecovered of my money into that company, and he just cuts me out?

What the fuck?

Well. He “Claims” he’s willing to give my $400 back - But he wants to see, and have access to everywhere I paid, which, as he has already stated - He’s changed the passwords to them all, so how can I? Basically, he won’t give me my $400 back, but to make out he is trying to help me out, and to make himself look like the good guy, he’s decided to set an impossible task.

Well, you know what; fuck him, and his money.

Long time no updates Sorry about that, I’ve been busy, working away from home and a few “problem” people have been taking up a lot of my time of late, and therefore, I have not been able to update my blog much, but finally, I have a little time to do so.

I’ve just been searching some TV shows I watch, and thought I would add a little part about them, and when they are starting, as I cannot wait, and I hope some of you like the same, or can agree with me on some parts

Dexter

Well, season 2 of Dexter went out with a bang, I wont spoil it for those of you that are following it in the UK, as season 2 has not finished airing on FX yet, but I will add a little bit for those who do not know what Dexter is about.

Dexter Morgan, is a Miami Police Department blood splatter expert, who was adopted as a child into a family who has another kid, Debra Morgan, Harry (The father of this family) used to work for Miami Police Department, but died. Dexter has an uncontrollable urge, but its not drugs, or alcohol, no, its murder.

Living by the code of his dead foster father Harry, Dexter tails suspects that have got away from the justice they deserve, and once he finds they are guilty for sure, carries out his ritual of murder.

Season 1, is a setting the scene, whereas season 2 is more of a running away / covering up for Dexter. Season 3, is all about a mistake he makes when killing someone, who turns out to be innocent.

Season 3 is airing on showtime in late September, its well worth the watch, but make sure you see all of season 1 and 2 before starting 3, or you will be very lost.

Spooks: Code 9

Well, this actually started last night, and I have to say, I was quite impressed, its set in the year of 2013, a nuclear bomb has been detonated in London, and MI5 was wiped out, it follows a group of young recruits in field office 19 in Manchester trying to stop terrorist attacks.

I was quite impressed, but on the other hand, was a little disappointed. Spooks, the series its based off is very serious, and I thought that this show, rated at an 18, whereas spooks is 12, would be even more serious, but it was not. Its kind of a “The Last Train” meets “Torchwood”, very typical for the BBC.

Overall, well worth a watch, its on Sundays at 9PM, on BBC Three, or can be seen on BBC iPlayer: Episode 1 Episode 2

Heroes

Yes yes I know, everyone likes heroes, and those that don’t, are terrorists Haha, that’s been said to me, and by me so many times (PS: it is a joke just in case anyone was offended, hehe)

Well, what is there to say? Its absolutely great, originally dubbed as clone of The 4400, its outshone even that now, with more followers and an even greater storyline, spanning out not only over Heroes, but over time as well. With each “Hero” interlinking with each other in some way or another.

Well, Heroes premiered at the Comic Con awhile ago, those of you lucky enough to see it - fuck you Haha, those of us not, well, there is 10 minutes of it on YouTube. But it airs at the end of September, and I cannot wait.

Any other shows making a comeback that I should be watching?

Well, why is it, that when ever a twat on the Internet does not get his way, he threatens lawsuits and writes emails to your service provider? The grounds for the lawsuit in this case would be pathetic, and would end up being laughed out of court - Hell, if It even got that far… Haha

I’m sure we all know who I am talking about. But what pisses me off, is he had the cheek to mouth my host off for leaking information - when they did nothing of the sort. The abuse letter was sent directly to me to act on, and I may, or may not, have accidentally forwarded that email onto other people.

Haha.

After using the iPhone for a week so far, I just wanted to update you of my findings.

Battery

I was a little worried about the battery to start with - but so far, its all good, my battery has lasted for 26 hours at most, and thats with around 1 hour talk time, and 24-25 hours standby. Overall, I am quite impressed with the battery life of the new iPhone. I thought the battery would last around 5-6 hours tops, but 26 hours total, is quite good, but still, no where near my 72 hour Nokia, but you kind of expect a change in hours when your going from small screen to touch screen. Eh?

iPod

Owning an iPod Touch, I know what touch is like on the iPhone 3G - But I managed to pick up iTrip yesterday, and was using it in my car on the way to and from work, and I have to admit - Its amazing, as in the iPod. The loud speaker on the iPod is a great addition, missed from the iPod Touch, but the sound is no totally great on that.

SMS

I’ve only had the iphone for a week, and the ONLY major thing I’ve had problems with, is the SMS - and not being able to forward messages, sheesh, its a nightmare - I really hope apple support it soon, or I can see them pissing a lot of people off.

3G

I have now come to realize, that o2’s 3G network stinks. Totally, I have traveled all around Kent the last few days, and have rarely managed to pick up a 3G signal that’s above 2 bars - but most of the time, when turning on 3G - I get a “No Signal” message and then it switches back to edge.

I have another phone contact with “Three”, and where-ever I go, I am able to pickup a perfect 3G network - but no such luck with O2 - Its absolutely horrible.

If you live in an area away from major cities, O2’s 3G network is not for you at the moment, and don’t consider buying the iPhone 3G for its 3G speeds, as In Kent, you very rarely get a 3G signal. In fact - The only time I actually get a good 3G signal is driving down the M2, and even that, was only 3 bars of 5.

I have to admit - I’ve not really surfed the net away from a Wifi hotspot, so its not been a great problem, I have my emails downloaded every 30 minutes, and it alerts me to new ones, which is working fine, so no complaints on that yet, but I’m sure more will follow when I actually need to use the Internet out and about.

I’ve decided that its about time someone provide the community as a whole with free things, and honor the true meaning of posting for stuff.

Now - This service is no-where near ready, but soon, it will be. I am hoping to have it ready for Closed BETA by August. Anyone interested in testing this service out - please leave a comment.

I’ve just had my first iPhone 3G Crash, and from what It seems, its not all that uncommon. All I was doing was surfing the net, and my iPhone totally crashed, the screen was frozen on the google search results and some random bars showed at the bottom, the bars were blue, a few pixels high and around 20px wide.

Holding down the power button did nothing, and I could not tap the screen, even the little “Working” icon at the top stopped going around.

To fix this, I had to hold down the power and the Home button for around 3-4 seconds, the iPhone cuts the power off, and you can then restart it as normal.

I hope they fix this soon, or I hope it was a one off :S
